Cleavage after breast augmentation is mostly determined by the natural space between your breasts prior to a breast augmentation. Breast enlargement with implants does not necessarily move the breasts closer together. It just makes them fuller. If your breasts are close together before an aug, they will be close after. If your breasts are more widely spaced before breast implants, or your nipples are spaced widely, they will not be closer together after your procedure. If your breasts are more widely spaced and you want the appearance of cleavage, you can wear a push up bra to create this effect in clothing. (Before and After Images) No matter what type of spacing you have between your breasts and nipples, we have the experience and skill necessary to get you the best result possible.
More about this…
Breast implants must be centered on the nipples, otherwise the nipples will be off center and the breasts will appear odd. If the nipples are far apart or lateral (outward) on the chest, the implants must be farther apart to remain centered on the nipples. Further, when the implants are placed under the muscle, the muscle attachments to the breast bone limit how close the implants can be. Don’t worry! Our Cincinnati based plastic surgeons, Dr. Vennemeyer and Dr. Loftus, perform a large number of breast augmentations. We are committed to getting you the best result possible, no matter what shape you start with. Contact us to set up a consultation.
