Great advice!! I stumbled across your website while trying to research the diff between silicone and saline. I'm going to my third consult in jan, The first doc gave very little info on the risks and had NO before or after photos. The second was very nice and seemed great until I read your advice on not letting the surgeon choose your size. That kinda bothered me from the start. So hopefully third time's a charm:) thanks again

During a consultation we will address your goals and help you determine if surgery is right for you. The surgeon will examine you to determine which techniques will provide the best result. We will use our sizing method to determine the size you like and answer all of your questions. Our consults last around an hour and are worth every penny!

Based on current scientific evidence, it does not appear that ruptured silicone breast implants increase your risk of systemic disease. You would likely have a higher risk of capsular contracture if the implant ruptures. The FDA continues to support the safety of silicone implants. However, if you are not comfortable with them, choose saline. Good results are possible with each implant type.

In general, it is possible to "upgrade" to a larger size. You can also change to a different profile implant. However, you must first consider the tissue thickness of the individual's breasts to determine if a larger size is a good idea or not. This is something we can only determine from an exam during a consultation. Welcome to Cincinnati!

I had my lift and aug a month and 4 days ago! I love it! I feel better about myself I have even had people tell me I stand up straighter. I nursed 4 children and had lost 40 lbs over a year period and needed help.

Yes I have some tenderness still but it gets better daily.

This office (Loftus Plastic Surgery Center) is the best, I had other consults and they made me feel not so good about myself. These two doctors are the best in the business and I would recommend them to anyone.

Jess,

Dr. Loftus and Vennemeyer's office has a great technique to help you decide. Trust yourself with what feels comfortable when you are trying on the different sizers. DO NOT decided on cc's of the implant, try them first.

I had my BA by Dr. Loftus in April 2010. It was the best decision I ever made regarding my body. Dr. Loftus was the greatest. Very imformative and helpful. Her staff was outstanding. I went with 397cc silicone moderate profile. I am 5'10" 155lbs very atheltic build. I was afraid that they were too big because I didn't want anyone to notice. I wanted my breast to fill out what skin I had after three children. They were swollen for a few weeks but then dropped and they look wonderful!!! After 3 months I still catch my reflection and smile. If you can get to Cincinnati or KY, go to The Loftus group - get there quick and trust in the staff!
Absolutely thrilled in Cincy!
